I take it that you don't have a memory card reader connected, but maybe something else?&lt;BR/&gt;I had a similar problem later (http://www.nydiscovery.com/solutions/2008/10/when-the-ipod-hangs-during-syncing.html) when I had to reset the system controller - instructions are on the Apple support site.&lt;BR/&gt;A good way to look into this issues is to check the Console application which shows the System logs. I have even gotten a new phone and this one does it also.  I read your post and it "sounds" like it would be helpful but I am far from computer savvy enough to understand that.  I have never bought any sort of card reader for my MacBook.  Is is something I may find installed on my computer?  I searched for "SanDisk" and "ImageMate" but nothing was found.  Would you happen to have that same help in layman's terms? :)  NOTHING has helped so far and I have pretty much given up on help from Mac. My iPhone wasn't...</title><content type='html'>Thanks so much for posting this!  My iPhone wasn't doing a complete sync, even after trying everything you did.  I, too, had a USB card reader plugged-in.  Unplugging the reader from my computer seems to have fixed the problem.
